I help clients engage with audiences in many ways, including newsletters, magazines, insights and reports.
AECOM is the world’s top infrastructure firm. I was appointed by AECOM’s marketing team at short notice to write and edit key sections of a 70-page manifesto on the future of London. I interviewed industry specialists, liaised with internal managers, and crafted content.
“Working to a tight deadline, Ian quickly understood the brief, conducted interviews with industry specialists, and developed content which aligned with the brief. Ian’s flexibility in adapting copy and production of concise thought leadership was excellent and delivered to a very high standard. The changing demands of the project were well managed by Ian and his insight has been invaluable to what we hope, when launched, will be an impactful report. We look forward to working with him in future.” Emma Vandore, Head of Content and Editorial, AECOM.
Praxity – the world’s largest alliance of independent accounting firms – commissions me to write online magazine articles for its member firms worldwide. From fintech and cybersecurity to climate change, sustainability and inclusion. I’m proud that my articles contributed to Campaign of the Year.
“Ian is a valued member of the team and has significantly improved the way Praxity informs and engages with its participant firms worldwide. I have no hesitation in recommending him for any copywriting or content writing position.” Graeme Gordon, Executive Director, Praxity Global Alliance.
I was commissioned by creative agency Glow to write a 12-page newsletter for global technology firm VT. The copy was completed ahead of schedule despite a tight deadline. The newsletter was well received, resulting in a significant increase in demand for services, and new commissions for Glow.
“The overall content and style is really effective and just what we are looking for.” Mark Clark, Group Reward Specialist, VT Group.
I was approached by design agency Red207 to write and edit a 32-page magazine for residents of Drum Housing Association, part of Radian charitable housing group. The brief was to encourage residents to get involved in Drum activities to help shape the future of their communities. The copy was written in a lively, engaging way, with bite-size chunks of text and pull-out quotes. It was so well received, it led to a 3-year contract, and new commissions with Radian.
“I am really pleased with how it turned out, and more importantly, so is the client. You did a great job.” Manjit Ladher, MD, Red207.
