Writing experience
I started my career as a newspaper reporter (NCTJ) at the West Sussex County Times in England before joining Wardour, an award-winning communications agency in London. Working in a small team of journalists and designers, I wrote internal and external comms for leading UK brands including BT and Norwich Union (now Aviva).
After helping to set up and run a boutique comms agency called Glow, I became a freelance writer. I now work with clients large and small in many industries. I write about subjects as diverse as finance, property, technology, engineering, recruitment, sustainability and inclusion.

English teaching experience
In 2009, I needed a new challenge. I qualified as an English language teacher (Cambridge CELTA) and moved to France to become an English trainer.
I started at language schools in Marseille and then became self-employed as an English coach, content writer and editor for international companies including Ricard, Virtual Expo, Bourbon and Randstad.
I returned to the UK in 2015 (I missed a good cup of tea). I now provide online English language coaching for non-native English speakers worldwide, including staff at RWE, Germany's largest energy company. I also teach at London's leading business English centre, the London School of English.
